Gustafer Yellowgold, the brainchild of songwriter-performer-illustrator Morgan Taylor, is an international phenomenon, beloved by kids and parents alike. He comes to NYU’s Skirball Center in this multi-media performance featuring Taylor and a full band, animated illustrations and storytelling.

“The most original performer on the family-music scene today…Not to be missed.” New York Magazine

Gustafer Yellowgold is a friendly creature who came to Earth from the sun and is living out an explorer’s life in a slightly psychedelic version of the Minnesota woods. In addition to headlining prestigious arts institutions, children’s museums, theaters and clubs, the live show has been the wild-card opening act for Wilco and The Polyphonic Spree.

Gustafer is perhaps best known from a string of best-selling, critically acclaimed DVD/CD sets, including Gustafer Yellowgold’s Year In The Day (2012).

The adult-friendliness of Gustafer Yellowgold is due in part to Taylor’s long and varied musical career, in which he has shared bills with Bob Dylan, The Breeders, Natalie Merchant, Matthew Sweet and Guided By Voices, among many others.
